Terms of Use.
The rules for using this website and a free Lemma Resources account.
Last updated October 4, 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Lemma College Counseling, based in Massachusetts (“Lemma”, “we”, “us”). These terms cover the website, the Resources pages, and Resources accounts. If you are a counseling client, the agreement you signed with us covers our counseling services. Where it differs from these terms, that agreement applies.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. A parent or guardian can create an account for a younger student.
- Give an email address that is yours and keep your details accurate. You can change them on your Account page.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or misuses the site.
3. The Resources are information only
The Resources list competitions, summer programs, research, internships, fellowships, scholarships, events and other opportunities, with dates, costs, eligibility and other details. The list is updated every week by AI (Google Gemini), which searches the web for each program’s details and adds programs it finds. Nobody at Lemma checks these updates by hand. So:
- Dates, costs, eligibility and links can be wrong because the AI made a mistake, and a program can be listed that does not suit or no longer exists.
- Programs change their dates, deadlines, rules, costs and eligibility, often without notice, and sometimes after we have checked them.
- Some dates are estimates based on the year before. These are marked “About” or with a ~.
- Entries can contain mistakes or be out of date.
- A listing is not a recommendation for any particular student, and not a promise of eligibility, acceptance, funding or results.
You are responsible for confirming every date, deadline and detail on the program’s official page before you apply, register or pay. Reminder emails, texts and calendar files are only aids. Do not rely on them as your only record of a deadline.
4. Limits on our responsibility
The website, the Resources, reminders and emails are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that they are accurate, complete, current or always available.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Lemma College Counseling and the people who work with it are not liable for any loss or harm that comes from using or relying on the website, the Resources, reminders, emails, texts, calendar files or links. This includes missed or wrong deadlines, applications that are late, incomplete or not accepted, fees or costs, and lost opportunities. If we are found liable anyway, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Resources in the 12 months before the claim. For a free account, that amount is zero.
You agree not to hold Lemma College Counseling responsible for decisions you make based on the Resources, and to cover our reasonable costs if a claim against us comes from your misuse of the site or your breaking these terms.
5. Other websites
The Resources link to websites run by other organizations. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their rules, or how they handle your information.
6. Emails and texts
When you create an account and confirm your email, we send you two kinds of email, each only when there is news: reminders 2 weeks before, 3 days before and on the last day of the deadlines of programs you saved, and once a week, programs newly added in the categories you chose. You can stop it at any time with the link in any of those emails, or on your Account page, and keep your account. We send texts only if you tick the box to receive them. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them.
7. Using our content
The Resources are for your own personal use, to plan for yourself or your family. Please do not copy, republish, sell or collect the lists in bulk, or use automated tools to download them.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time on your Account page. Sections 3, 4 and 10 still apply after an account is closed.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Massachusetts.
